SB-440
Georgia law allows juveniles ages 13-17, to be charged as adults, if accused of one of the "Seven Deadly Sins". These cases will be heard in the Superior Court of the county in which the incident occurred unless the Superior Court declines to accept the case. If declined the matter will proceed as a juvenile case. Georgia includes the following crimes in its list of the "Seven Deadly Sins": Murder, Armed Robbery with Firearm, Rape, Voluntary Manslaughter, Aggravated Sexual Battery, Aggravated Sodomy and Aggravated Child Molestation.
Juveniles accused of illegal behavior, consistent disobedience or found to be outside of parental control can find themselves before the juvenile court, this also includes crimes of truancy, unruly violations and curfew violations.
Allegations of abuse and neglect can be heart-wrenching for parents, When the State steps in to remove your kids you have an absolute right to defend your parenting style & family structure.
